Privacy Policy

Privacy Policy

Waley Movers respects the privacy of every Chicago and Chicagoland household and out-of-state customer who contacts our Milwaukee Avenue office for a moving quote, a storage rental, a labor-only crew, a specialty lift or any other service we provide. This policy describes what information we collect, why we collect it, who at Waley sees it, and what your options are to access, correct or remove it.

Information we collect

When you call Trish Sullivan at our intake desk, submit a quote-request form on this site, or email [email protected], we collect the information you provide to us, which usually includes your name, phone number, email address, leaving address, destination address, a description of the inventory and your preferred move-day window. If you book a job, we also collect a $215 deposit and the billing information necessary to process it, plus any Certificate of Insurance details your property management requires from us. If you rent space in our Milwaukee Avenue indoor heated bay storage, we collect an inventory list and your contact information for monthly billing.

How we use that information

Waley uses your information for one purpose: running your moving job from the first intake call to the closeout on the final invoice. Trish books your date on the dispatch board. Eddy Ramirez writes the binding flat figure and emails it to you. Marcus Waley signs the quote on the Milwaukee Avenue desk before it leaves the office. Janelle Whitaker handles billing, COI paperwork and the storage cycle. The crew chief on the truck — Tony Pawlak for inner-Chicago three-flat work, Reggie Brooks for long-distance and South Side work — gets the addresses, the freight-elevator slot, the parking-permit detail and the access notes for both ends of the job. That is the limit of the in-house circulation.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your information to anyone. We do not trade it, rent it, syndicate it to a lead-aggregator partner, or hand it to a marketing reseller. The only outside parties who see any part of your information are: the credit-card processor that runs your $215 deposit and final invoice; the certificate-of-insurance issuer that drops your COI to property management when a Loop, West Loop, South Loop, Streeterville or Edgewater building requires it; the Streets & San permit office when we pull a moving-truck reservation in front of your address; and, for interstate jobs, the federal Department of Transportation paperwork our operating authority requires us to file.

How long we hold it

Job paperwork is held in the Milwaukee Avenue files for the seven-year window the Illinois Commerce Commission requires of household-goods carriers and the nine-month federal claim window requires of interstate movers, whichever is longer. After that window, the file is shredded. Marketing email lists are held only while you are an active customer or have opted in to a seasonal reminder, and you can opt out at any time by replying to any Waley email with the word REMOVE in the subject line.

Cookies and site analytics

This site uses standard analytics cookies to understand which pages get traffic and which referrals send the most quote requests. The cookies do not identify you personally to us; they aggregate to traffic numbers Trish reviews on Monday mornings. You can disable cookies in your browser settings without affecting your ability to submit a quote request or contact the Milwaukee Avenue office.

How to reach us

To request a copy of the information we have on file for your job, to correct anything in it, or to ask us to delete it after the claim window closes, write to: Waley Movers, Attn: Janelle Whitaker, 2419 N. Milwaukee Avenue, Chicago, IL 60647, or email [email protected]. We respond within five business days.

Once Trish puts you on the Milwaukee Avenue board, Marcus Waley calls back and walks the floor plan with you, room by room, item by item.

The Illinois flat figure is keyed in at the dispatch counter on Milwaukee Avenue, signed by Marcus on Waley letterhead, and returned to your inbox before the close of business. One desk handles the whole quote — no lead-auction lane, no national call-center queue — and if you don’t book, we don’t pester. The only follow-up you’ll hear from us is the one you ask for.
